After a five hours drive from York we reached Albany. All the caravan parks were fully booked, but we got a family room all to ourselves in a great backpackers place!
Having breakfast with our Japanese neighbours, planning our day from the map with all the sights behind us :)
Beautiful Albany is the oldest European settlement in the state. It was the commercial centre of the Southern region so it was established 3 years before Perth (in 1826).
Hungry Pelicans! These BIG birds waited for the leftovers they were about to get when the fishermen finished rinsing their catch of the day.
These birds are unrealistically BIG! I don't think I want to get any closer...Looks like they can swallow more than fish!
