This is the story of Dandy; a 43 year old teddy that mummy got for her 1st birthday, in Sweden from her mum and dad. Mum carried him with her everywhere she went, Dandy is the only childhood memory she brought with her to Australia 🐶💕

When Maya turned one, mum gave Dandy to her. Maya goes to sleep with him every night (notice the stuffing falling out of him, his nose is about to fall off and there is countless holes in him and one ear has fallen off; Maya still loves him ❤️🐶

Dandy got thinner and thinner every year he got more loved. He was falling apart. Maya tried to fix him; she borrowed stuffing from her brother’s stuffed Shreck 😂 and poked in to Dandy’s belly, arms and legs

We found white stuffing (that had fallen out from Dandy) under Maya's bed and when we asked her what it was, she admitted she had taken from the rich (Shreck) and given it to the poor (Dandy)

I’m not a handy mum, I have no sewing skills whatsoever! Luckily enough I’ve got a very caring and warm-hearted friend that is very talented in this area: Simone! I asked her for help. She looked at Dandy and was very sceptical- she had never done any...

Dandy's inside (most of it is 43years old but some of it was very new (Shreck's contribution) and Simone couldn't figure it out until I told her. Several stitches in Dandy from before too, both grandmas have tried to patch him up during the decades, sorry to say but he's not of the highest quality

Simone started the makeover of Dandy, bought special combs, conditioner etc and she looked up the best advice online to get him back to what he once was ( she has never done anything like this before)

With lots of love, care and hours of maintenance Simone brought Dandy back to life 🐶 💗

Maya couldn’t believe it, she even questioned if it was the same dog! “Mum, Dandy looks like he is a puppy again” We are forever thankful Simone ❤️

Kids get to sleep in our bed when daddy is working away, easier for a sick mum to manage them in one room when they wake up in the middle of the night to go to the toilet, to get a drink, kick off their blanket, have a nightmare etc 💤

💤 A good night's sleep is so underestimated!

What else can you ask for than good friends that look after you when you are sick? Take you to the Dr’s, look after your kids, does grocery shopping and cook for you when your better half is far away? Thank you Karin and Chloe, don’t know what I would ...
